This SM-852B phase indicator is design to check the presence of OPEN PHASE and PHASE SEQUENCE thru the designated LEDs and an audible buzzer sound simultaneously. It features the fast and accurate measurement & checking of the presence of open phase and phase sequence condition. This hand held instrument correctly identify the rotary field of a three phase system ensuring that correct phase sequencing is achieved. As a requirement of the 17th edition wiring regulations, correct identification of phases must be proved in each circuit and a must for any plant maintenance staff. SM-852B is the perfect & ideal tool to do such job. The unit comes with interchangeable crock clips, but any type of probe can be used plus a protective carrying case to keep your testing in great condition.

Testing is as easy as connecting the included well insulated alligator clips of the unit to the three phase circuit under test and the unit will indicate the presence of open phase & phase sequence thru the LEDs and buzzer.
